Purpose of My Places
The purpose of the My Places application is to help caregivers and family members coordinate safe travel and visits for the people they support. Users can find real-world destinations, save places that matter, and manage related plans so loved ones can get to appointments, errands, and other locations with less confusion.
My Places is not a medical device and does not provide emergency services. It is a caregiving coordination tool: find places, organize where someone needs to go, and keep those plans visible on a calendar you control.
Why My Places requests Google user data
My Places requests Google user data only to provide the features described on this page. Here is how the application uses that data:
-
Google Sign-In (name and email)
My Places uses Google Sign-In so caregivers can sign in securely. The application uses the account name and email address for authentication and account identification. Google profile photos are not used, shown, or stored by My Places.
-
Google Calendar (read and write)
My Places requests Google Calendar read and write access so it can create, edit, and delete events in a single calendar the user chooses. This supports visit planning and schedule updates for caregiving destinations.
-
Google Places
My Places uses the Google Places SDK / Places API to search for and display destination information such as clinics, pharmacies, stores, and other locations caregivers need to save or schedule.
What My Places does
My Places combines place lookup, calendar planning, and Google Sign-In so caregivers can manage destinations and schedules in one application.
-
Find and save places
